Information on Battery Disposal
You are legally obliged to return old batteries and accumulators after use. As an end user, you can return old batteries and accumulators of the type that we sell or have sold in household quantities to our shipping warehouse free of charge or send them back to us. You can also return old batteries and accumulators to a local collection point or local retailer.
On batteries and accumulators containing hazardous substances, you will find the chemical symbols:
- Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% by mass of lead
- Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% by mass of cadmium
- Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% by mass of mercury
Batteries and accumulators are marked with this symbol, which means that they must not be disposed of with household waste:

Improper disposal of batteries and accumulators can have harmful effects on the environment and human health due to the substances contained in the batteries. For this reason, separate collection and recycling of old batteries is of particular importance for the environment and health.
